  • What do we do?

We aim to create beautiful keepsakes for all your special occasions to make them truly unique. Our range may have its roots in weddings, but we also offer baptism, christening and naming day candles, gift items, and personalised cards.

When creating our range, we draw inspiration from today's modern bride.

We only accept as many orders as we can fulfil in-house. As we don't outsource the finishing of our products, we can guarantee the quality of our creations and only send out orders we would be happy to receive ourselves.

Why do we do what we do?

When our Chief Bridesmaid was given the duty of sourcing unity candles for her brother's wedding in early 2016, she realised that there was a lack of truly unique options available for today's modern brides. Having been heavily involved in the wedding preparations, she drew on small details she knew were important to the couple and hand made her first set of unity candles.

And then when one of her best friend's got married later that same year, it happened again. The bride just couldn't find candles special enough to include in her big day and called on Bianca to create a unique set.

And that's how Bridesmade was born in 2017.

How does a candle lighting ceremony work?

    • Candle lighting ceremonies are a symbolic way to celebrate the joining together of two families.
    • The smaller family candles are usually lit by a family member of the couple at the start of the ceremony.
    • The couple light their candle together using the flame from their family candles, usually after the exchanging of rings.
